Supervision

HiF operates under the supervision of the office of Global Learning and 51ÁÔÆæ's Department of French and Francophone Studies, in consultation with the Academic Council of 51ÁÔÆæ. HiF  is fully accredited and periodically reviewed by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

51ÁÔÆæ professors, and occasional guest faculty/directors from other Liberal Arts Colleges, direct the program on a rotating basis. The Academic Director in Paris is in permanent contact with 51ÁÔÆæ to ensure that 51ÁÔÆæ standards, philosophy and policies are maintained. Supporting each director is a team of professionals from the United States and France who have substantial experience in international undergraduate education.

HiF also requires its students to register with the American Embassy in Paris immediately upon arrival.

Note that HiF  is one of the founding members of the Association de Programmes Américains en France (APUAF), whose role is to monitor unusual situations in France, and provides broad information and guidelines for all US programs in France.
