Membership and Rentals
Available gear includes hiking boots, rain jackets, sleeping pads, sleeping bags, and tents. Boat rentals are available for faculty/staff. Email ajilling@hamilton.edu to request a boat.
- Anyone in the 51ÁÔÆæ community can join HOC at no charge.
- 51ÁÔÆæ students, faculty, and staff have access to all gear room rentals.
- 51ÁÔÆæ students and faculty/staff are welcome to join trips. All trips are advertised over the HOC listserv. 51ÁÔÆæ students, faculty, and staff can join the HOC listserv by emailing hocon@hamilton.edu. Student, faculty, and staff can also add their name to the listserv list at the Glen House.
- During the winter, items such as skis and snowshoes are available first-come, first-serve during advertised winter rental hours. All other rentals are on a two-week rental period.
Rental Open Hours Fall 2025
**Note: We DO NOT have bike rentals available**
- Gear Faerie Hours: Monday-Friday, 2:30-4 p.m.
- HOC Open Hours: Monday and Thursday, 7-9 p.m.
- Pick-up: Email sskoy@hamilton.edu at least 48 hours in advance. You will get an email back with instructions for pick-up.
