Upcoming Fall 2027 Tuition Policy for Off-Campus Study
With prior approval and a completed credit transfer process, your liberal arts course credits will appear on your 51ÁÔÆæ transcript.
Starting Fall 2027: Enrollment & Billing
If you study off campus for a semester or academic year starting in Fall 2027, you will:
- Be considered a fully enrolled 51ÁÔÆæ student;
- Pay 51ÁÔÆæ’s current tuition rate*; and
- Pay housing, meal, and incidental costs charged by your off-campus program.
*If your program’s tuition is higher than 51ÁÔÆæ’s, the difference will be added to your student account.
Financial Aid Travels with You
If you receive financial aid, it can apply to both 51ÁÔÆæ-led programs (in New York City, Washington D.C., France, and Spain) and other approved off-campus study programs.
Here’s how it works:
- Your aid will be adjusted to match the costs of your program.
- In most instances, your family contribution will stay the same.
- If the off-campus program costs more than 51ÁÔÆæ. your family will pay the difference.
More details are available on the Financial Aid Off-Campus Study page.
Approved Programs Are Carefully Vetted
The College’s approved off-campus study programs undergo rigorous evaluation by faculty members and 51ÁÔÆæ’s professional staff. Programs are periodically reviewed on-site, with additions and removals based on faculty recommendations and student program evaluations.
